Fortnox + Power BI
Your Fortnox data in Power BI, kept up to date.
Enhanza syncs every Fortnox table, structures it into one finance model and connects it to Power BI through Power BI's Google BigQuery connector, signed in with your workspace's service account. No exports, no API code and no data pipeline to maintain.
How it works
From Fortnox to Power BI in three steps.
Start from Enhanza's Fortnox template: the Power BI dataset comes with its tables and relationships already in place.
- 1
Connect Fortnox
Sign in to Fortnox from Enhanza and choose the companies to sync. Each company is one data source. - 2
Enhanza organizes it
Every table is synced and structured into one finance model: profit and loss, balance sheet, accounts, invoices and the rest, for every company. - 3
Connect Power BI
In Power BI Desktop, choose Get data, then Google BigQuery, sign in with the service account from your Enhanza workspace and pick the Fortnox tables you need. Choose Import, not DirectQuery, for fast filtering.
Data we sync
Every table, not a summary.
Structured down to the line level, so you can report on anything Fortnox holds and combine it with the rest of your systems.

Your options
Three ways to get Fortnox data into Power BI.
Exports and home-built integrations both work. The difference is who keeps them working next month, and the month after.
| Export to a file | Build on the Fortnox API | Enhanza | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Refreshes on its own | No | Once it's built | Yes |
| Several companies in one model | Merged by hand | If you build it | Yes |
| Other systems alongside | Merged by hand | One more integration each | Same model, same connection |
| Keeping it working | Redone every month | Yours, when the API changes | Ours |
What you build in Power BI
Power BI on top of every Fortnox table.
Management reports by company, department or project
Margin by customer, product or salesperson from the invoice rows
Reports shared in Teams and SharePoint, refreshed on Power BI's schedule
FAQ
Questions people ask.
Is there a ready-made Fortnox template for Power BI?
Yes. Enhanza's Fortnox template opens with the dataset and its table relationships already set up, so you start building reports instead of modelling data.
Do I need a Power BI licence?
Power BI Desktop is free. Sharing reports with colleagues usually needs Power BI licences from Microsoft, which are not part of Enhanza's price.
Import or DirectQuery?
Import. The data is already structured and kept up to date by Enhanza, so Power BI only has to load it, and filtering stays fast.
How up to date is the data?
Enhanza syncs Fortnox automatically, as often as your plan includes, and Power BI reads the latest figures each time it refreshes.
Can I report on several Fortnox companies together?
Yes. Each company is its own data source in Enhanza, and they all land in the same finance model, so Power BI sees one set of tables for the whole group.
Which Enhanza plan do I need?
Every plan connects to Power BI. Enhanza Connect (€195 a month) is made for teams that report in their own tool; Standard and Professional add Enhanza's own dashboards and AI.
